US Navy/ Marine Corp. 1916 Test Trials Contract Savage Lewis Machine Gun

US Navy/ Marine Corp. 1916 Test Trials Contract Savage Lewis Machine Gun in .303 caliber. Less than 100 guns ordered for field trials for Marine Corp.

Referenced in Chapter 12 of “The Belgian Rattlesnake” by my old friend Bill Easterly. This firearm is more than unique; it is part of the original Twentieth Century Fox Studios ordnance collection. Purchased in the mid 1970’s, by Dolf Goldsmith and his business partner Burt Jakes. By word of mouth only, this is one of the two Lewis Guns used in the movie “Sand Pebbles” starring Steve McQueen. The gun has all original Savage parts to include (1) .303 Savage drum. The overall condition is excellent plus. It is test fired and ready to go.

Test-fired, Guaranteed Functional & Fully Transferable.
